Thelonious Sphere Monk left a huge footprint in the world of jazz, so we’ve decided that just one day to commemorate a Monk milestone was not enough. Monk’s 100th birthday was October 10th, and we're embarking on a year-long celebration with a different song each night at midnight, either performed by Monk or a Monk standard performed by another artist.
