Watch and Listen: The Rolston String Quartet on WRTI

Bo Huang
Rolston String Quartet

With performances hailed as 'electrifying' (Strings Magazine) and 'exquisite, filled with luminosity and pulsing with life' (Musical Toronto) , the award winning Rolston String Quartet has been making its name all over the world. The Astral artists visit WRTI to perform a selection of works, and talk with WRTI's Susan Lewis in advance of their concert at Trinity Church on Rittenhouse Square on December 8th.

Watch the performance on WRTI's Facebook page here.

Canada's Rolston String Quartet was formed in the summer of 2013 at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity Chamber Music Residency. They named the ensemble for Canadian violinist Thomas Rolston, founder and long time director of the Music and Sound Programs at the Centre. They are winners of Astral's 2016 National Auditions.

The Rolston String Quartet was named among the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's 2016 "30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30."
