Watch and Listen: Pianist Sara Davis Buechner Plays Mozart, Live from WRTI

Listen to an all-Mozart performance by pianist Sara Davis Buechner. She plays some unusual, rarely heard gems from the Mozart repertoire, and two movements of his well-known Sonata in F Major, KV 332 ahead of performances at Temple University's Keyboard Festival. Debra Lew Harder hosts.According to The New York Times, Ms. Buechneris acclaimed for her “intelligence, integrity, and all-encompassing technical prowess."

Ms. Buechner joined the piano faculty of Temple University’s Boyer College in 2016, and will perform the complete cycle of Mozart’s Sonatas for Piano over three consecutive days for the 2nd Annual Boyer College of Music and Dance Keyboard Festival: January 31 at 7:30 PM, Saturday, February 1 at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, February 2 at 3 PM.

As part of her preparation for this marathon undertaking, Ms. Buechner traveled to Austria to study with renowned Mozart scholar Paul Badura-Skoda before he passed away in late 2019. She will share some of his insights into Mozart’s playing, as well as her own.
