Avery Gagliano in the WRTI Performance Studio

Pianist Avery Gagliano has quite the busy schedule these days. She participated in the International Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw in mid October, released her Steinway recording debut, Reflections, on November 5th, and made her Carnegie Hall recital debut on November 30th—all while pursuing her Bachelor’s at Curtis.

On top of all that, Avery actually found time in mid November for a return visit to WRTI’s Performance Studio where she played works by Bach and Chopin. I had the pleasure of interviewing her while she was here.

Program:

J.S. Bach: English Suite No. 2 in a, I. Prelude

Chopin: Mazurkas Op. 56, nos. 2, 3 (they appear on her new album, Reflections)

J.S. Bach: English Suite No. 2 in a, IV. Sarabande
