Live from the WRTI Performance Studio: Marcus Myers' Ode To Omni

Feb 4, 2019

The group Ode to Omni was formed in Philadelphia by drummer (and leader) Marcus Myers with the mission of making music that benefits the listener while trying to push music forward. They joined host J. Michael Harrison in the WRTI Performance Studio on February 4th for a live session that you can watch on Facebook.

Marcus assembled the band after an injury caused a hiatus from his instrument, and he began to compose through reflection, maturing and enlightenment. The result of this period of personal development and devotion to omnipresence (God) was Ode To Omni.

With unique backgrounds of training, experience and musicality from the artist under OTO, the collective builds a powerful message of inspiration and spiritual growth.  The project is driven by the significance of self-reflection, challenge and the joy that can allow listeners to connect to something beyond musical notes.

Marcus Myers & Ode To Omni’s sound is a mixture of many genres, which makes for an eclectic and balanced sound.  The group is currently promoting their latest album titled Perception, which debuted at number fifteen on iTunes.  Marcus Myers & Ode To Omni continue on their mission of making music that benefits the listener while trying to push music forward.
